Shopper's Paradise and Ski Canada, By Chris Whisler DCA-1462

FS9 and Radio Range Version 4.0 (RR_V4.0) are required for this route.

For this route, I would highly recommend using add-ons that enable FS9 to better replicate the look and feel of the 1930's and 40's. Golden Wings 3 (http://www.goldenwings.info) is an excellent program and a great place to start. California Classics (http://www.calclassic.com) has many great airport, scenery and aircraft downloads.

For Canada scenery, Flight Ontario (http://www.flightontario.com/index.html) has some great Canadian scenery downloads.

Shopper's Paradise and Ski Canada Install Instructions:

1...Extract the files from the "Shopper's Paradise and Ski Canada.zip" file into an empty folder.

Contained in the zip file are:

     1) "ReadMe" - this readme file
     2) "Shopper's Paradise and Ski Canada" installer.exe" - Self-extracting installer
     3) "Flight Simulator Files" folder
     4) "Shopper's Paradise" document
     5) "Ski Canada" document

2...Double-click on the "Shopper's Paradise and Ski Canada" installer.exe and follow the on-screen instructions. If it doesn't find your FS9 folder automatically or if you have FS9 installed in another location other than default, press the ... button and browse to it. This will install two new folders named "Shopper's Paradise" and "Ski Canada" into the "flights" folder of your main FS9 folder.

3...Place the contents (not the entire folder) of the "Flight Simulator Files" folder into the C:\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files folder.

4...Print the "Shopper's Paradise" and "Ski Canada" documents.

Operations:

To Select a Flight:

Start FS9 and click on the new "Shopper's Paradise" or "Ski Canada" categories in Select A Flight. Choose a flight and click the Fly Now! button.

To Save a Flight:

To save a flight, save as "Shopper's Paradise" or "Ski Canada". This will allow the briefing page to be active when the flight is resumed. The saved "Shopper's Paradise" and "Ski Canada" flights will be available under the My Saved Flights category.

Acknowledgments:

I would like to thank Charles Wood (Founder of DC-3 Airways) for the original idea for this charter and also Allan Greene for the radio range approach plates.

I would also like to give a special thanks to Dave Bitzer, Alex Nicolson, Norman Hancock and Allan Greene and to everyone that made Radio Range Version 4.0 a reality. The results of their hard work gives us the chance to employ techniques of flying and navigation in a great era of aviation history that otherwise would be impossible to experience.

A big thank you to all of the staff at DC-3 Airways (www.dc3airways.com) for providing the best virtual airlines on the planet!
